    Hey,

My grandma gave me some coins that he she had from a while back. There were a little over 2 rolls of Bicentennial Quarters. Are they worth anything?

    Thanks!

    possibly not, but could be....

are these rolls that were purchased back then, or rolls consisting of collected coins?

    what condition are they in?

pics are needed. take pic of the rolls and the ends.... don't unwrap yet

If you already unwrapped them, take a pic of a representative group if coins and post that

    oops....

They were my great grandmas coins, they don't really look like they were extremely circulated. I think they may have been purchased a while ago all in one.

The quaters obviously. I am also letting my silver coins try something called "silver dip". I hope they like it.

Just kidding, no silver dip for them! :wacky:;)

The bicentennial quarters were very popular when they were released, and a lot of the 1.6+ billion that were produced by the Philly & Denver Mints were taken out of circulation by collectors. They really aren't worth much more than face value unless they are high grades.

I still have about $20 face value that I saved when I was a kid. Today, they are worth about $20. Granted, you don't see them very often, but between the mint sets and people saving them at the time, there are more than enough to satisfy the collector demand.

They could have value if they are S mints. (doubtful)
Most likely, it's just two rolls of quarters unless they are spanking brand new.
They made a ton of these, and things that are made to be collectible, never are.

Check the Denver coins for doubling on the ERTY of LIBERTY.

To have kept up with inflation they would have to be worth $63 today.
