    It's a man-made novelty item.

    Drop it on any hard surface, and
    you'll hear a different sound than
    if you dropped a regular cent.

    It will have a 'thud' sound, compared
    to a normal US Cent.

    A seam, but it also was most likely milled out then another side of a cent placed into it.

    To me... it looks as if there was an adhesive, like glue or something.. causing it to stick with another penny .. for a long time? Because those grooves of the house are there... right across his face.
