She goes beyond that. 5 years ago I had some major health issues. The Doctors had to flatline me, then restart my heart on 5 different occasions (yeah, I reckon I have been dead/killed 5 times). She spotted each of them several days prior. Additionally, this year my wife had 3 heart attacks. Blue spotted them (differing habits and signs) upwards of 3 days prior to each. Amazing abilities that certain animals have. My 6yo Grandson is Type I Diabetic. I happened to be visiting them in TX. We helped get him a Diabetic Alert Dog- those are $15-20 grand each - so please do not pet or divert Alert Dogs of any type when you see them in public. We had the dog at home when he went to grade-school. He spotted my Grandson dropping low blood sugars 1-1/4 mile away. We confirmed it with his on-body Dexcom monitor, which tracks 20 mins behind! Amazing abilities. Dogs have been a symbiotic species with Humans for around 50,000 years. They are an amazing Animal, beyond being a pet for us. If we accept that, it is amazing what they can do with us. My dogs performed very well in circuit training, 12 obstacles in a, as short time as possible. They understood many commands.Inhouse they were sweet & obediente. But there's a big difference between inside and outside , once off lease at the beach, dog park or in the Woods, you loose all control. Their hunting instincts take over and they change in killing machines. Nothing is safe cats, birds, rabbits, other dogs, and even horses are attacked. They are expert swimmers and chase ducks and other waterbirds , fences up to 6 feet are no problem. My current female Jack is 5 kilo , these males were 12 kilos, pictures:
Novie is quite computer savy. She really likes hidden object games. I once caught Herbert ordering some extra hornworms (his favourite) on the computer. Achoo couldn't care less about the computer. He just enjoys trying to bite my fingers off when I feed him. Erin
Black cats are the best! The mythology and lore surrounding them is quiet fascinating. I adopted a black cat named Hershey and his calico sister Snickers two years ago. I love them dearly.
Great thread! Love all the animals! ...and coins Here is Amelia (tiger striped tabby) and Max (the tuxedo tabby). Amelia is 6 and very sweet when she is not thumping on her little bro. Just got Max a year ago and after my wife named him. I tell people (and him) he named after Maximinus Thrax the Thracian giant even if he is a little on the small side. He likes the name especially if you have a feather toy
Great coins depicting dogs, but that being said, a much, much greater story regarding one of them, and a completely amazing and very moving one at that. Clearly Blue has a fantastic empathy with her humans, and what a precious gift that has turned out to be for you and your entire family. You are truly blessed.
The only problem of note I could foresee with having a snake would be that considering his not owning any arms to speak of, the very first hug he gives you in the only way he knows how, regardless of the little critter's best intentions, might just be your last.
My uncle keeps several large (10-20 ft) pythons as pets. He recently had them all taken from him by the government because of this very fear, and it took many months to find out what happened to them (they are okay). However, in his many years of owning large snakes, not one has tried to hurt him. This fear is based on nothing more than uninformed opinions. The government has since allowed him to adopt more pythons, but he has to follow many rules.
