Tell me more about this coin! Is it worth anything? There is a 1931 Lady Liberty dime on one side and a wheat penny on the other side.
Pmd post mint damage. Someone filed the cent down and used a lathe to hollow the dime out and fitted the cent in the hollow dime. Google search magicians coin and it will explain how its done.
Thanks! That's what I figured but my mother begged me to find out. Either way it has a super cool story...my mom found it on their family's farm when she was a child while walking it with her father (who was an avid coin collector). We have notebooks full of his coins that we need to go through. I may be back later with some of those. Thanks again.
The 11 thing is a long and oddly-entertaining story, but if you'd like to know.... And please do feel to ask whatever you want. Even if the coin wasn't as hoped, it is indeed a very cool story; the family connection makes it priceless.
