    So, there's this guy that is trying to sell me this 1921 liberty coin, and send me this picture.

    Is it cheap? It has some rim issues, and who knows what the reverse looks like.

  9. The eye looks off to me. The t in trust looks wrong as well. I say it's a fake.

    I don't know that it's fake...but the surfaces look really funny to me. I would pass on this one.

    Better pics but whatever is hiding beneath that crud may be hiding casting marks also. There are plenty of fakes of this coin around. I still would like you to pass on this. It's a key date and heaven forbid you get scammed. Better to wait until something nicer shows up. JMHO.

    Unless you have the backing of ebay, I wouldn't touch it. Too many things make me think that the coin may not be a coin. Ask for pics of the edge.

    It's cast from pot metal. I'd know that color anywhere.
