About a year ago my dad got unexpectedly sick with an internal infection while on vacation overseas. When I talked to my mom while they were in the hospital she told me that the doctors said he only had a 50% chance to live and even if he did he would likely be paralyzed. I flew out there to be with them and after several surgeries and a month in the hospital overseas he WALKED through the front door of our house!

This year I am thankful for good dads, talented doctors and small miracles.

 

A big YES to all of the above!

I am thankful for being able to live the life that I am living. Right now I am in college, making good grades, and growing my knowledge. Also, I have a nice job, doing accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and taxes in SAGE 100 Contractor, which I am extremely thankful to have received. Also, I am thankful for having such nice friends, and for having the ability to run like I can. This, among many other things, are things that I am thankful for. Also, thank you for the opportunity to win some coins!

I know this is cliche but I am thankful for my family.
I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with them over the last ~5 years due to multiple deployments.
My son has spent almost his entire 6 years of life dealing with me being gone for months at a time. He has been a real trooper though and has done his best to help his mom out as best he could.
My daughter was born in April of 2016 and I missed almost her entire first year of life due to being sent to Korea.
My wife has been the real trooper through this whole thing though. She has been single mother to 1 kid, pregnant single mother, and single mother with a baby and an energetic little boy. She has taken it all in stride and kept everything together quite well.
Now that I'm back we have been trying to figure out how to work as a full family again. It has been a struggle at times but things are better and I am excited to see them every day and see what cool new things my kids will learn and do each day.

This picture is from today's CRH. My son wasn't home from school yet, but he is the silver searcher. He can pick them out of rolls pretty easily. My daughter just likes to sit on my lap and open rolls

I have a lot of things to be thankful for this November. Most obviously these nice and generous contests (and me winning the last one). Also all the stuff i learn on here. It's nice to be able to just read about my interests whenever i want. I am also thankful for the friends I've made on cointalk. Two that really stand out are @Kirkuleez and @lordmarcovan (they are probably like who is this weirdo but that's ok. They are really great people.

In my personal life, like Brandon, i am thankful for my college experience. My commute is very nice and i love all my classes. I am also doing very well academically. I am also thankful to land my temporary dream job as a children's librarian (well library aid, but we all do the same work i just don't have the degree). I love the kids and hopefully the kids like me. My coworkers are also amazing.

And i think i stand with everyone when i say I'm thankful for my family (and friends).

 

A warm, heartfelt post, and as such, very uplifting.
