I've debated trying it as well. That's actually one of the coolest set ideas I've seen and really glad to see it getting more attention

Point is, you said, " US Mint doesn't strike coins for foreign nations," in the first response to the OP question. That is not true.

It is true - it doesn't. It DID, but it doesn't now and hasn't for decades. The latest date I saw was 1981. I think that's the past.

As already mentioned in this thread the last one was in 2000 and coins were made for Panama through 1983

I had a bit of an ironic chuckle about this one. First of all, I'm quite sure the packaging was meant to give the impression that these coin sets were indeed a genuine U.S. Mint item, and they do actually manage to pull of that illusion quite well. Secondly, I think it would be more than a bit of a stretch to classify Native American reservations as "foreign countries" since they are in fact instead the sole remaining sovereign lands from the days when the entire country belonged to these original inhabitants. So...some rather fanciful coins from some real, live people; buy 'em if you like 'em!

American Bank Note company is not "we", they are a private company. "We" would be the BEP, and I don't think we have ever printed paper money for another country. We may have but if so I don't know about it.

Did some searching and we did print currency for Panama in 1928, but they were a US Territory then, and we did print for Cuba in 1934. Apparently other than by special permission the BEP has not had the authority to print for other countries. They did gain that authority in 2004 but I don't believe they ever utilized it.
