Definitely the Charlton standard catalogues. Notice the plural, because not all varieties are covered in each edition. For instance, in the 61st edition, there's an extensive section on 50c varieties. In the lastest, 62nd edition, there is excellent documentation of the Victorian 25c varieties.
http://www.pcfleet.com/book/en/details.htm I'm waiting for the 5th edition to become available. The Charlton is more mainstream, but nowhere near as many varieties listed.
Thats actually legit? I didnt believe it because of how many spelling mistakes there were on that website.
It's not done by an Anglophone, and I believe it's self-published, so it probably doesn't go through the editing process of a more mainstream book (hence my comment above). As for pictures and varieties, it's ahead of the Charlton, but to each their own, I guess.
Thanks Its good to have an alternative, does the book have just as many spelling mistakes? I may get it, I just would never have gotten it off what I knew about it ( the website ). Also does it have pennies, as that is what the bulk of my "collection" is.
