Never forget that war. One of my best college buddies had lost his Dad in that one. And many of my fellow Class of 1965 (U.S. Army Heidelberg) high school classmates died in Vietnam, and one perished in the DMZ in Korea during the fatal tree-chopping incident.
When I was a kid in the early 1950's they had us believing that defacing any U.S. coin was a federal offense. When we'd put one on the railroad tracks to get a flattened cent we felt like John Dillinger!
I might order one of the 1907s ... I have several "impossible date" Chinese counterfeits, and I think I posted a couple upthread, like the 1797-CC Trade dollar, and I think I have an 1844-S "with motto" Seated Liberty. I have a 1879 two-cent piece. They're kind of cool, in a way, and they do less harm than the average Chinese counterfeit.
Those guys in China make some amazing coins now a days. I got 5 of these Trump coins recently for about a buck apiece, free shipping. PL Cameo, MS 70 or so in a nice plastic holder. Make OK presents for like minded individuals.
If you go to aliexpress.com, there's a fair amount of Trump stuff, some colorized. Some with a better portrait too. I bought the semi-official inaugural medal by his Ohio committee that was written up in CW a few months ago. I wonder how much pre-2016 numismatic stuff there is on Trump? Beyond the dollar tokens for the casinos.
