Look at the obverse where the green arrows are. The Obverse was worn badly but usually isn't noted as much. The hoof separation is the key for the variety. Jim
Look at the space between the buffaloes back and P and U of PLURIBUS UNUM. Your fake coin has them almost punched on top of the buffaloes back. Hope that makes you give up. If not, there's no convincing you.
Even with the "Fake: coin, I have learned to look for a Bull who pee's in an attempt to get the moth off the hind leg. That's easy to remember. I thought fake because of the thickness of the coin, did not even look at the details that much.

Call me xenophobic, mean-spirited and anything else you'd like but I would never buy anything that purports to be of real value, especially a rarity, from that part of the world. Even if it came in a PCGS holder, I would just assume the holder was a fake too. I'm no expert on the Buffalo Nickle but I'm glad you didn't spend big money on it.
Wow. All I can say is "wow". Some people really DO need a 2x4 upside the head to see the truth, don't they?

I'm not 100% convinced, b/c when you view the video, there is still some slope in the field from the buffalo's back to the P and U. 2x4? You might end up eating it!
There's a doctoral thesis on the psychopathology of people who think they gotten something for nothing begging to be started from what's on this thread right here. There is a whole library of psych books that can be written from the DSM-IV characteristics of various types of people into coins, actually. Marketing people know and take advantage of the psychopathologies every day, people.
There's a whole lotta haters too. PPL that missed out. Just cause you missed the boat, don't desire for it to sink.
Hey, what do I know? We now have hundreds of thousands of people who will watch an "unboxing" video of a new smartphone, too. So it goes. And people wonder why I have disdain for millennials.
