So I started going through the collection of sorts.. I ran across this? Is this an error of some sort?

Update: I guess I'm not the only one.. http://www.blurtit.com/q449260.html

That is an error, the coin was struck with a greased die, that clogged the last digit of the date.
    Value?
A few cents, unless you are on eBay, then possibly worth thousands!

I guess after I'd done some ready, too bad there wasn't at least a half of a 3 at the end or 3.. :)

I've looked on ebay alot people have the 1944 with the last digit being half a 4.. I haven't found any missing the last digit clean yet.. But still looking..:)

I have to admit, my DVR is filling up this week, these coins are becoming addicting..

Wow that is pretty neat. I zoomed it up and have to admit looks like a nine to me also but could just be the power of suggestion. Good luck with the coin!

The tilted mint mark is neat and should be a clue to the coins real date.
