    I will guess there is an edge problem. Details UNC, chipped edge, $475

    I'm going to say damage due to the curved obverse scratch. It's not horrible looking but isn't a normal bag mark. 375.

    That looks like natural toning to me.

    I don't see much wrong with this one.

    Maybe it's a small patch of damage in between the E and P on the obverse? Perhaps some other scraping damage throughout but it doesn't look that bad for the damage you see on Morgans... at least to me.

    This 1842 O Silver dollar was graded with a fault by PCI. Grade the coin, name the fault, and what price did I pay....in 1997. ( sorry do not have that many details coins of recent) It does make an interesting historical play as well. 20171031_161828.jpg 20171031_161828.jpg 20171031_161828.jpg 20171031_161828.jpg 20171031_161845.jpg 20171031_161828.jpg 20171031_161845.jpg

    @Charles REid , we're still guessing on the Morgan from the other page. The quote above is from the previous coin (where it says you were the winner). But hold on to this '46 $1, it'll make an awesome coin for the next time you win.

    And on another note....

    This thread is slowing down quite a bit. Can we get a result of the last coin, unless
    @Johndoe2000$ , or @baseball21 , @Pickin and Grinin , @charlietig or @jwitten are coming back to guess...

    @Beefer518 wins as this one sold for $253...that is higher than some MS 65 examples have netted recently so the buyer must have felt this was a lock for PL or 66.

    @Beefer518 you can go next or we can use the Seated Dollar from above. If we use it, does someone mind flipping the pics?

    Like I said earlier, I'm not so sure being on top in this thread is good! I'd rather have my stuff together on primo coins....

    XF Details - Rim Damage & scratched (from the chin through the neck...unless that is a die break)...I'll say it cost $200 in 1997

    Wow, you got to be kidding. Going by the photo,this thing really looks good.

    Anyone see where the Alerted Surface is on this?

    I don't know where it is, but I thought something must be wrong. Why else would an auction house (GreatCollections) or the consignor not resubmit a coin that would have a potential for such a high grade?

    It might be apparent looking at the coin in hand. Depending on how it looks in hand, I would have resubmitted this, and who knows, maybe it has a time or two.
