I found this penny that looks like its half of a "hidden compartment" type fake coin. But the reverse look so real that I question if its not some weird production error. What do you guys think?
Well, I'm very confused on this one, I'm stumped. I have two theoriesthat are most likely not correct but I'm going to giveitm a shot any ways. 1: sonmbody is real good with a mill/lathe 2: it was created as a magicians in but has circulated to make It look real Thanks, Jacob
Magicians Coin You found a Cent that was altered to do a specialized magic trick. I have seen many over the years. Not a Mint Error of any kind.
The coin is a magicians coin. It looks hollow because the second half is lost. Nothing too special and not worth anything because the second half is missing.
IIRC, this coin was used to hide a Roosevelt dime for some type of magic trick. Weird that it was in circulation.
