I can't match this to anything on Variety Vista. Which could mean it's too common to list. What do you fine folks think?
My educated idiots guess is its not a doubled die, die deterioration is obvious enough. I first wanted to say, "All of the above," but this type of apparent doubling might have occurred when the machine/parts is loose and the die rattles loose gets out of control. Cool looking coin, lot of character and in great shape. Hey, I confess to the educated idiot thing, but "I" am the one who "coined" the term, "Zinkie" when referring to a ''Shield" backed cent.
Here's a better image of LIBERTY. I see differences that might show with a different camera angle. Here's the reverse. Some details don't appear to match WDDO-002:
PCGS gave it a disappointing 64. The six other war nickels in that sub graded 65 to 66+ (two of each).
How about a close up of that mint-mark ... Remember yours is a EDS .. Sometimes cracks don't start til later in the die state ...
Mint-mark placement doesn't match #2 . This one matches your mint-mark placement . https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com/listings/view/1601
