paid 15$ for this "4th" graded coin..think I got a good buy..is this a definite cud type and would it add any value? the left side of the entry roof has a definite problem..and Iknow its no way a MS67..thanks. View attachment 694514 View attachment 694515
Not to pile on, but what exactly are you talking about? I see no evidence of anything remotely resembling a "cud" much less a "cud type". That said, there was a time where any solid unc 50-D could usually bring $15 in a face-to-face retail setting, but if this has changed or not I do not know. Anything beyond this would require quality photos of both the obv and rev.
I paid $9 for an MS-63, I think it's worth more. I had one as a kid that I found in circulation. Lost/ destroyed in a house fire, so I wanted to get another one. 40 years later I did. Got a circulated one off the Bay that I like. I had one. Then I had none. And now I have 2. Life is good. Also don't see a cud.
not necessarily..the New Mexico state quarter has cuds that are on the top of the state border line..and if you go to this site.. Cuds on coins.. well it will definitely show that they dont always happen on the rim
was not implying that at all..theirs something not right about the reverse of that Jeff.. debating on whether or not to bust the holder open and get a much better view..its ANI certified at a MS 67!! lol..didnt pay much thought 15$ but did find the receipt for it..paid 11$
Cuds only happen in relation to the rim, the roof has taken damage and moved the metal. Die breaks happen on the interior of the coin
http://cuds-on-coins.com..check this site out..and was wondering why it even got graded..I know ANI is not one to go to but still..
