Hey guys I’m rather new here to the forum. So today I was hunting through some cent and nickel rolls and started thinking wow I’m hoarding so many coins... is this necessary? Ha ha. So I have a good amount of coppers and probably every year of Jefferson’s up to 95... should I just bank them and look through more? I feel so frustrated lol.

And the main reason I have a lot of those is because I was putting those album/folders together with all the mintmarks and dates.. so yeah I just don’t want to hold onto stuff I don’t need too.

You are not hoarding until the coins together weigh your family's weight.

You actually answered your own question when you said that ". . . I was hunting through some cent and nickel rolls . . ." and ". . . the main reason I have a lot of those is because I was putting those album/folders together with all the mintmarks and dates." In other words, you have acquired them for a stated and reasonable purpose (even if your wife or others might not agree). A hoarder who a person who acquires and holds on to something and cannot give a rational (the key here is "rational") reason for doing so. No need to doubt yourself; as long as you enjoy it keep on keeping on:):):)! Semper Fidelis

I choose to interpret that as meaning my extended family. My dad is one of 8 siblings. ;)

You keep what you kill (necromongers). Just make sure you can carry it all with the impending zombie apocalypse......

If they would all loan you money with no quibble or paperwork, then by all means include them.

Well not really because I don’t know if it’s even worth holding onto them lol. I mean I have duplicates of the stuff that just sit in coin rolls :)

I guess you can say I just want errors, rares, and a small collection (folder). Not the excess that will just there doing nothing. Just seem to feel like I can’t let go of them yet. Is this C.A (coinage anonymous)? Feel like an addict, for real.

I've never collected large quantities of rolls like that, but I did look at my big collection of circulated state and ATB quarters one day and decided it was basically a bunch of junk.

I turned it all in at the coinstar, went to the coin shop and bought my first capped bust half dollar with the cash.

I can safely say I enjoy that one coin 10x more than I enjoyed the big pile of clad quarters. Just food for thought. :)

I thought all they had to do was climb onto one side of the (very large) scale? Stop moving the goalposts!

One could do that.....but it is a bit unsanitary.

So today I decided to go through my coins and figure which ones were in best shape and keep those... by chance does anyone know if full steps on the Monticello actually do have a premium and which years?
