All in all, I'm fairly satisfied with the NGC results on this round of Ancients, despite the excruciatingly slow turnaround.

Ancient Greece (Ionia, Phokaia): electrum hekte, Athena and quadripartite punch, ca. 478-387 BC

We apologize for the delay in getting your coins back to you in a timely manner. Hurricane Irma put us behind.

I figured it was Irma. I'm just glad everybody came through OK. Had I not had two "piggybackers" on that submission, I would've been a bit less anxious. As it happens, they were very patient and totally cool with it, and everyone is happy with their submission results.

Man, that Corinthian is gorgeous. I've always been a fan of that design, although I haven't picked one up yet (I've been outbid on a couple, though).

Just curious, why did you send some of them to PCGS and some to NGC? World and ancient coins are nearly always more valuable in NGC plastic.

That's been quickly changing for world coins.

How so? NGC always seems to sell for more than PCGS, from what I've seen.

I'm sure they're areas where that's true, several countries its the exact opposite and the major advantage NGC had a few years ago is certainly gone. Supposedly one of NGCs big world graders just switched to PCGS as well

NGC gets my ancients. PCGS gets most everything else. I like the PCGS TrueView imaging.
