    It looks like a small clip from the mint to me. Others will verify with more knowledge of mint errors.

    It's genuine, and your side shot
    shows the 'cut & tear' marks
    inside the clip -

    That's the 3rd authentication point,
    after metal flow and Blakeseley Effect.
