1961 ddo?

    Nice job matching it. Hub Doubling and doubled dies of this scale are areas that I never could develop an interest, but I'm always impressed when people can ID them

    I don't see a match with the R, T, or Y.
    Not saying it doesn't, just can't see it by using the OP's photo.
    I can maybe see some similarity with E, just not enough to say definitively either way.

    That's why wexler took 2 images of liberty .
    You can Keep the image centered on the scope lens, much better .

    One shot doesn't do that ( center image ) ...

    Help me understand. Wexler shows this for the #1.
    "A spread towards the center shows on the letters of LIBERTY."
    What is spread towards the center?

    I believe that there isn't any kind of rotation to the doubling, as with most Doubled dies. It goes from the rim towards the center in all directions.
