Not sure what year these pennies are

    Hello everyone, bought a box of pennies and found these two pennies with no date and was wondering what makes these pennies turn out like this? Is it because they have gone through the coin machine's to much?

    First three pictures are of one penny
    The last four is a different penny

    They appear to be coins that were stuck in a clothes dryer a tad too long.

    Correct. Post Mint Damage. Known as dryer coins. If all copper then they are pre 1982. Copper plated zinc then minted post mid 1982.
