I like these type of coins that show up, I pulled a Magician's coin from the 1930, It came in a magic kit from that era. Nov 19 14 Strange Magic Coin.jpg

Oh! That's a cool coin @Arby! I found a magician's bag on the street years ago. It's all leather - big! and inside was a magician's card. I forget his name but I have the card put away and it's a strange card - black and white but sort of freaky looking!! I kept that case It's rather flat (like 5 inches deep) by @40 inches wide and 40 long. I'm storing water color paper in it right now.

glad you found a teller who is friendly...as I said, most despise anyone asking for halves or God forbid, large dollars...however, I have ONE...ONE teller out of the probably 40 or so who I regularly see that likes to see me coming...she is happy to give me halves ( if she has any) and tries to be very accommodating...whish it was more common...good for you.

    6 MWR Halves = 1 69d

Oh! I thought you were asking about the magician coin.

The rifle/bow arrow coin doesn't have anything at all on the other side or else I would have certainly photographed it. But I should have described that it was completely smooth on the back - not even a ridge going around the edge of it.

I got 20 more Loomis penny rolls at our bank.
Now up again to 40 unlooked at. The AC in the house is down for now. In East Texas that is not a happy situation....

4 banks yielded $31.50 in CWR and loose halves:
    68-D 40%er!
    8 Cu-Ni clad proofs
It had been so long since I found a silver I didn’t see the 40%er by edge checking

40 Ikes, no silver, but a couple in BU condition.

Things are (sort of) looking up for me :smug:

The time I was going to spend asking for halves and large dollars at banks today was instead spent working at a gun show. There was a coin dealer there. I was able to buy junk silver and resell it to my typical buyer same day for a 20% profit! Of course, I’ll use the profit to buy more “keeper” halves, win!

Hey, that 1944 looks like it might be a straight-clipped planchet! I'd be interested to see its reverse.

    Also, welcome to CoinTalk! :)

Finished off a box of cents. 1 of 4 I picked up today.
    Only 8 wheaties (oldest 1941), 2 Can 1c, and a 60D Small Date.
Not much of interest but was fun to get my set up going again and was a nice change from nickels.

I need to find a source for dead President dollars.
I got a better 42D out of a penny roll.
Got a centennial Canadian penny too.
