Well... they're down to sub-$10 shipped grading coins without newsletter codes.

    $139 for 15 coins.

I'm wondering, though... there were rumors last year that they were close to closing up shop, so have they increased volume enough that their margins have increased enough to drop their prices?

Edit: I stand corrected. $129 for Insiders is still valid... and $9 per coin thereafter.

More likely it's just what they need to do for business. They could likely survive with the niche of coins that aren't worth sending to the first tiers, but that would mean having to continue to do cheap promotions like this

Right... but that only holds true if they manage to somehow capture that market. I assume that market consists primarily of coins valued $25-$50. Anything more, and it would be such a gap between ANACS and PCGS/NGC pricing that it's simply not worth it, even at the discount.

Anything below $25, and I'm not sure ANACS adds $9 of value to the raw market value.

I had been contemplating sending in 35% nickels, but realized those are typically $2 each... unless super rare and worth sending to PCGS.

All I know is, that every time I attend a major show (and they're in attendance) they are both kind and cordial........

Paul is a great guy. I'm sure the majority of their staff are nice... I just have issue with a certain someone who shall go unnamed. :D

I would say that they have/will capture that market if they keep doing these specials. PCGS and NGC seem to have no interest in the super cheap submission tier which really gives ANACS no competition at that level.

Or they have dropped prices to try and increase volume.

I used this $9/coin offer and sent 15 coins to them for the first time in over a year. So their marketing worked. I didn't send anything expensive. The order likely totals $900-$1000 in coin value-wise, but I also paid $9 extra for variety attribution for 2 of the coins. These are mostly coins that were NOT worth paying $20 each plus shipping and processing to NGC or PCGS, but will likely sell faster if attributed and graded by a TPG. So I gave ANACS my money.

I assume you're asking me. I just vaguely remember a conversation on this site about them possibly closing up shop last year sometime. It actually may even have been the year before.
