Be warned that you need to make sure your listings are "mobile friendly" I had seen something about it before but never actually read into what it was, well come to find out... my listings aren't being shown! I got on my desktop and did a google search for "ebay mobile friendly test" and tried putting my item number in and it said ID not found.... so for those of you who might have only a few coins listed and wonder why you're not getting many offers or views, this might also be your reason.. When fixing it on the computer, just above the item description on the right hand side will say something like preview mobile friendly or something along those lines, click that and it will fix it so it will be viewable.
They may have just been hiding it as well. They play a lot of games with listings which will exclude/hide some even if that's exactly what you were looking for. They made that change a few years ago in the user agreement
I've noticed my eBay sales falling off radically over the past couple of months . . . If I received notification of the impending mobile-friendly changes I must not have read them, as I don't recall any mention of a mobile-friendly change regarding eBay. I'll have to make time to investigate and change my listings accordingly.
But what that means is anyone trying to search on a mobile device won't be shown your listings unless you make them mobile friendly.
Unfortunately it seems that if one of your listings needs to be "fixed" very likely every single one will
What a joke. Thanks for the heads up OP. Just went and fixed all mine. Definitely was getting very little activity recently hopefully this will get some more looks.
I can verify that, i window shop ebay exclusively in my cell. Ive bookmarked pages, and later had problems. Actually @jtlee321 was one that comes to mind, so Mr Lee may want 2 look into it also
Go to a listing of yours and bring up the edit/revise page. Look on the right side above where you type the description for the "Mobile-friendly Checker" link. Click that and do whatever fixes it says in there, save it and finish revising
The only thing it says mine is missing is a way to scroll thru the written description. So people could always still view my listings.... thankfully. My sales have been UP over the past 3-4 months, unlike @ToughCOINS.
Wow, this just goes to show you how STUPID eBay truly is. Why the heck would they let this fly? ALL listings wether or not they are created on a PC or mobile device, should work on all platforms!! I know that on my listings, I don't do anything fancy. I don't add images within the item description, I don't format my text or anything else. It should work by default.
I just fixed all of mine. There really is no excuse for eBay to have let this be this way. I fixed my template so that hopefully all future listings are "mobile friendly".
From my understanding if any part of that was red, the meta data or scrolling they wouldn't appear in searches for mobile devices.
Mine were just missing the one click but no idea if that meant they were visible or not. Given how many eBay bucks promotions they've done lately I think @ToughCOINS experience is pretty typical of most sellers.
I have never had an issue with the coins I list. But I only use the ebay mobile app. My buying and selling is all done through the app.
