The coin is a die mis-alignment strike, and that's not that uncommon.

 

It is the result of a misaligned die (MAD). We see them here quite often.

LOL.. Not any kind of coating on it, thinking it's just shiny..

 

The scratches in front of Lincoln around between TRUST and the date look like those from a rolling machine where it zipped the shotgun roll closed.
