Yes! I think it's going to be the gem of my collection. It has a great provenance also—pre-owned by some legendary Judaean coin collectors.
And every one with those terrific sandy patinas, too. Boy, it sure would be fun to "put the coil to the soil" in the Holy Land (i.e., swing a detector) - but highly illegal, I'm sure. Still, I daydream about stuff like that.
@Deacon Ray - that is a really nice collection and it gives those new to the ancient game a good idea on how to specialize...if we chose to. Excellent stuff.
Beautiful collection! I have enjoyed these since my teenage years but they were a lot more inexpensive then. Demand I guess has soared. They have made tourist fakes of some of these but I bought this "irregular" looking one on ebay for 15 dollars. Letters look kind of thin but it still has an authentic look.
