The thing is you came here looking for help, and this is the second time you haven't gotten the answers you want. Your photos are blurry, they aren't straight on to give details, and some of the rubbish you are saying have long led me to believe you aren't an expert.
If you want help, then maybe you could stop thinking you know everything.

prob why I see so many " detail" or " improperly cleaned coins all over e-bay, everyone's doing it so it must be right.

 You are extremely :vomit: misinformed! This is not a random opinion.

Also, I reported your abusive words directed to another member here. I think if you cool it they may just give you a warning and let you continue being a member here so you may learn some things.

BTW, chemical additives do not take away a coin's luster UNLESS they are strong enough to destroy its original surface.

JOEinSTLOUIS, posted: "Do the grading company's have a standard on how we should dip and clean coins? how would u know that for sure? never seen a graded coin that said "properly cleaned" dipping will lower the grade or get the coin a details grade, dipping will most always will remove luster, most collectors wont dip or clean a coin not ever."

To the best of my knowledge, no TPGS tells collectors how to properly dip a coin or which coins to dip so that the treatment cannot be detected! However, there are former TPGS or NCS employees who offer classes. The ANA has one.

Properly dipped coins are straight graded. Perhaps, that is the reason you have not seen "properly dipped" on a label.

BTW, "properly dipped" coins often grade higher as their eye appeal is increased. :jawdrop:

I'm not mad about anything, I'm just correcting your misinformation for anyone reading it. Dipping is a specific term. Acetone is not dipping, MS 70 is not dipping, polishing a coin is not dipping.

Has nothing to do with properly dipping a coin

Some people like toned coins, others wouldn't touch a toned coin. On some toned coins the eye appeal is enhanced, on the pictured coin, the eye appeal is gone to me. I would prefer blast white Morgan Dollars and I am as you stated a casual collector of 50 years. You should not ask opinions, if you cannot accept their responses. A coin's beauty or lack of beauty is in each individual's opinion.

again, don't confuse expert with serious im a serious collector that would never dip or clean a coin not ever for any reason. wanted opinions on whether people thought AT or NT instead a lot of casual amateurs who quick to say AT bc the colors dont flow, or the colors dont look right?. many photos not blurry, your seeing blur because near impossible to photograph.

@JOEinSTLOUIS - You're trying to debate something way outside of your area of expertise, whether you think so or not.

You need to calm down, take a deep breath, and start reading and LEARNING from all of the knowledgeable numismatists on this (and other) forums.

There is a LOT to be learned about coins, coin collecting, etc., and you haven't even gotten into the first chapter.

You have shown yourself to be child-like, unwilling to learn, abusive, and an irresponsible forum participant (I won't call you a member, because a member wouldn't act the way you have).

Your foul mouthed post earlier has been reported, and I've never wished this on anyone before, but I hope they decide that you are not the type of person we need on this forum. You have insulted, name called, and belittled everyone here that has tried to help you on this thread and your other one, but you refuse to listen.

Tell me how much you (or anyone) can learn by talking? NOTHING, and you have shown that to be oh so very true. Spout off all you want, I don't care.

Congratulations. In 15 years of heavy forum activity (many different forums and genres), you, sir, are the first person that I am using the 'Ignore' selection on.

I wish you well. (Where's the middle finger imoji?)

SO where is the info on how to properly dip a coin and in what solution? I would say your misinformed!. where u getting your info from? bc there is no documentation to back up what your saying, and go right ahead and report my "abusive" language that Edited: Language had it coming after what he said to me.

One thing I have learned in my 70 years, there are some people that you just can't talk with or reason with and the best thing is for the two of you to not try and move on down the road.

He's absolutely right. You are the one that is consistently showing you have no knowledge of what you are talking about

I want to put you on ignore, but the misinformation you post,
and the steady disregard for the forum rules, keeps me here for the future readers of this thread. At this point I think you need another long vacation, or complete ban.
