    WOW!!!

Utterly stunning gold to fantastic silver and bronze!!

My best example of the 12 is this relatively high-grade denarius of Nero. I seemed to have fallen into a 'denomination/metal' niche for this particular Emperor and just had to have it---a bit pricey for the 'average' collector like me but well within the comfort zone of my usual budget.

    Nero (54-68 AD). AR Denarius (17 mm, 2.99 g), Roma (Rome), 65-66.
Obv. NERO CAESAR AVGVSTVS, laureate head to right.
Rev. VESTA, Hexastyle temple of Vesta with domed roof, set on podium of four steps; within, statue of Vesta seated left, holding patera and scepter.

Is your purpose to make collectors’ mouth watering .?
Only once, many years ago, a Lebanese banker friend of mine lent me 12 Aurei of the Septimius Severus family, found in Syria. I kept them on my bedside table spent a night dreaming about them...and returned them the next day to be sold to a Swiss bank.

Really? Lent you the set for a day? I would love to hold the set, but I would be frightened to have them on my nightstand overnight.

I would have put them inside my pillowcase and drooled upon them. :p
