I picked up a small handful of coins today, all under $50.00 each.

This one was an eBay buy $49.00

This was $50.00 from a local dealer. The obverse looks way worse in the image than it does in hand. It's also a Top 50 VAM-10.

This 1904-S Morgan was just $16.00 from another local dealer.

I also picked up this 1921 Morgan VAM-26 for $19.00 from the same dealer as the 1904-S Morgan.

Better pics of that 55-D dime I bought for $1.35. As I said, 65FB is my grade. The mark near the bands luckily stops right before the split.

A 2000 UK 10p that I'm convinced is a proof. The edge looks too perfect to be a business strike and it's way too reflective. See the reflection of my finger? It's about 5-6 inches away from the coin.

Cost me all of 10 cents, which is actually less than it's face value. Remember, the pound is worth more than the dollar.

Hey @jtlee321! Nice finds! Are you ready for the PNNA show?

Also, about the last PNNA, what happened with the 1943 quarter that was supposedly MS-67 and the 53-S Franklin? I thought of the show and it made me think of what I need to look for, and I thought of your year-old thread for some reason.

It was a surprising buy, especially given that the shop where I got it is a top notch operation. Maybe the owner just wanted to have a little fun and put a 'treat' in the display case to generate repeat visits. Which I do whenever I'm in that town and can stop by the shop.

Bought this one for $9.99 after some discussion in a thread I created about WLHs. I was looking at one costing $22 until someone pointed out a ding on the reverse. Further searching resulted in this one with a bit more detail on the shoes and an equally nice face on Liberty. Very happy with this.

Thanks, I just looked at the Buffalo again, it is the FS-515 D/S. All of the die markers are there for the Stage B. :)

Great. You have a $500+ coin in 66 with nice color, do I get half :). I would also send it to messydesk to have him put his VSS sticker on it identifying it as such

Is it seriously worth that much? Holy crap!! I would have just put it away and not checked it. I just figured the S would be easy to see. LOL

I've seen them go between $250-800 in 66 depending on no color or how sexy the color is that's why I estimate yours at $4-500

What's so crazy is that the Rarest 38 D/S variety has now been cherry-picked by Cascade, Pickin and Grinin times two, jtlee, and myself. In the last what 4 to 6 weeks? There goes the market lol... mine isn't for sale,as it's been one on my list for quite some time now.
But is funny that all have surface in a short period of time.

This is pretty much what I meant by calling it a pseudo-rarity. They just aren't as rare as they are hyped up to be.

I would have to say that mine are in an PCGS OGH 65, and an NGC no line fatty 66

I wouldn't say that they are hyped up.....as there's not that many collectors of varity Buffalo nickels.... since a few of us here have been shown an interest in the series varieties coupled with our locations there bound to be more noted finds as more pursue these varities. I know myself searching for certain varities has paid off even those that are considered rare.
As a variety collector you tend to set your sights on certain varties.....Sometimes you get lucky......many times you don't.

Here's another I picked up today from the same shop I bought the (2) 1964 AH Half Dollars and 1922 VAM-5-1. This is really a beautiful Walker in hand. I'd say it's a 64 shot 65 on a good day. What really made me pull the trigger on it is that it's the FS-102 DDO. It has really nice doubling in the digits of the date. I paid $50.00 on the nose for it raw.
