1983 d wide AM ?? 1984 d ??Goodmorning thanks for all the help ..does anybody see double dies in any of these guys ??
To my knowledge, the "Wide AM" and "Close AM" attributions do not apply to either of these years. Chris
That is why they are so rare. Fudder, go to the PCGS website and find out how to submit these babies. All one of them. And keep up the good work, nice finds!
@Fudder Personally, I think you are doing a disservice to all the other newcomers who may stumble across this thread and think you are serious. By the way, he happens to be a she. Perhaps, you need a little more education, too! Chris
Education? Oh, come on. This lesson will save her a lot of time and money down the road, Chrissy. How many do we see keep coming back for more, they never learn. And don't play sanctimonious with me and tell me we haven't seen you tear into them like a maniac, either. I'll dig up the treads for you, you need that.
I agree, but my guess is that Eddie's post was the result of near countless threads in which that's exactly what the OP wanted to be told, regardless of fact or reality. Fair point, but even this is becoming an insult, my friend. After all, gender is a figment of the imagination..... or so I'm told. Go figure.
I don't disagree with that. Believe me when I say that there have been many times when I wanted to pull my hair out because I've had to endure thread after thread from newcomers who know absolutely nothing about the minting process. I guess in a way you could say that I am starting to get payback by recommending that these newcomers throw their copy of "Strike It Rich With Pocket Change" in the trash. Chris
Do it..... but even the trash is too good of a place for said book. On the other hand, Mr. Potter is such a numis-hero that no one should care if he stretches the bounds of decency, or kicks the hobby in the collective jimmies to make a buck, right?
Obviously I seem to be pissing people off ...so may I say something ..ive come into medical issues and was so sad to find out that when my husband passed away unexpectedly we had nothing the only thing I may have are these coins that ive collected since I was 4 ..I took my coins to a coin shop the nice gentleman told me a had rare finds dd variety etc..as ive always saved any coin that was odd or discolored i wanted him to help point out what if any had a worth but too many to go that route so HE recommended me to a coin forum which could help me figure out what I had by posting pictures and asking questions to these people who are so knowledgeable and eager to help BOY was he wrong and I'm sorry guess this wasnt the right place so I apologize to everyone who's been so HATEFUL to me on here and thank you for those who helped ..i won't be posting here again so PLEASE don't argue in the count of me ..I SIMPLY DIDNT KNOW
Do you know how many crackpots come on here every single day making sounds EXACTLY like you? Of course you don't, you're not clairvoyant. Well, news flash, girl, neither are we clairvoyant!!!
Ma'am, I promise you you're not upsetting anyone, but also that no one is being "hateful" towards you, so please don't misinterpret what you've read. However, please do understand that in order for us to help you, you must first help us by providing the often necessary info requested. That said, in this case, either 83-D or 84-D doesn't matter as the wide/close AM thing doesn't apply here. Please do stick around and give it another try. Welcome to the forum.
