I would have given you $115 for that one in a heartbeat. I think the Buffalo comes out tops among toners.

It's still hot, you just have to have the right colors or a vibrant coin. That Morgan was dominated by one color and was somewhat dull.

I needed that, I've been falling behind.

I'll see if I have anything decent to post.

Isn't not as hot as obverse only. It's a lot like grading, if one side is going to be clearly superior it does better if that side is the obverse

    Alright, I got one.

    1925-S California Jubilee Commemorative
    Bought it raw.
A GTG ranged from AU58 to MS64, so take your pick on a grade.
    AU58 is $167 (numismedia), $175 (PCGS), $170 (NGC)
    MS64 is $344/$300/$400

What did I pay for it?

I did not know about the gold toning being common on Buffalo's. No one tells me anything. :( I factored in the toning on this one.

    I would have given $120 and I don't collect Buffalo's.

I guess I can just skip eBay next time. LOL. :)

Let's just say that finding a 1938-D gold toned Buffalo is almost like finding Red Lincoln Cent's from 1958. They are common like the Red Lincoln's and just like the Lincoln's are more in demand.
