I have put a bid on a coin on numisbids and the aucution finish with a bid infirior to my own but i din t recive any mail or something to tell my to pay. Can someone tell me What is happening ?
Occasionally if you submit a bid fairly late on Numisbids, it doesn't get transmitted to the auction house. Where possible, I find it's best to bid directly rather than through Numisbids or Sixbid.
That's weird!! I hope they can resolve this for you... with luck they've just been slow to notify you that you won the lot!
When did the auction close? I received a bill Monday morning (early for me but normal working hours for Germany) for a coin I won several days earlier. I only bid on one coin. Mine was small potatoes for them amongst their 5 and 6 digit coins. The auction lasted several days. It looks like they sent a note the first business day of the next week. Sometimes it takes a while. Did you check your profile on the numisbid site? It may tell you. Be patient. If the coin is several centuries old, a few days will not change it much.
I cant explain, but it is a precautionary tale. Dont use a third party service. Bid with the auction house directly. If one doesn't, well, it leads to situations like this.
There could be several reasons that you have not yet received an invoice even if you would have bid directly through the site. If you have a previous confirmation of bid and the final price is within your max bid I would contact them but I wouldn't be too worried. I once got an invoice a full three and a half weeks after I won a lot at auction. Sometimes if the coin on the auction site is consigned and is still held by the consigner the auction house will wait till they physically have the coin before sending an invoice. This can take several weeks if it has to go through customs. This happened to me with Naville once.
