    T CAESAR VESPASIAN IMP III PON TR POT II COS II; radiate head r.
    ROMA VICTRIX – SC; Roma seated l. on cuirass, with Victory and spear
    RIC 483; very rare (only 2 specimens cited in RIC); good VF, slightly rough surfaces, high relief

    Titus as Caesar. 70-79 AD. Dupondius, 12.82g. (h). Rome, 72 AD. Obv: T CAESAR VESPASIAN IMP III PON TR POT II COS II Head radiate right. Rx: ROMA - VICTRIX S C Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory and spear; behind the cuirass, several shields and other captured arms. RIC 483 (R2, specimens in Stockholm and Arethusa 4, not illustrated). Cohen 193 corr. (Wiczay), whence BMC p. 146. A very rare obverse legend on dupondii. See the preceding lot, which is from the same obverse die. Excellent portrait. VF/Fine.

    Does look like the same basic type to me, though you'll want to have one of the more experienced folks pin down the exact attribution.

    Indeed, looks very nice in the photos. I'm not used to seeing that radiate crown in the Twelve Caesars period. Interesting.
