Is this polished die?

    Thanks Speedy, it's a little odd. I guess I will chalk it up to die polishing although this one does not have that much orange peel???

    I think you are right - The two letters look odd but I do think it is a result of deterioration. The nickel still has nice luster on it and not too much orange peel so it's a good example for me to keep. The 84 I posted in another thread is another nickel I think I will keep as a great example of die deterioration doubling.

    LOL - this cannot be that much different than Quarters?


    The "United States of America" is twice the width as normal - this is probably a result of over polishing?
