Hi All, I've seen mention of a 2004D cent DDO in both the appendix of the Cherrypickers' Guide (4th Ed Vol 2) and in variety lists on the internet, but have not seen any mention of them at CONECA online or coppercoins.com. Does anyone have more information about it?
hi is there any pictures for this variety? you mentioned of a variety list on the internet. do you have a link for any. Ive asked for any updated information for the Cherrypickers list on the PCGS forum but never got a reply. Like the 2006 1c FS101 is this updated on any list. thanks Snowman

I e-mailed him asking where he got his info from but haven't heard back yet.
wow . that list shows almost every recent year and mint. what im looking for is the cents that get the most attention is the ones that make its to the cherrypickers list- thanks Snowman
Thanks for the link, but that just adds to the mystery- the 2004D DDO is not listed at CONECA (or coppercoins) but does have a Fivaz-Stanton number. Other than that, information is scarce. Maybe they're just playing around!
Unfortunately, I don't know of any "official" listing of newer varieties with "Cherrypickers' Guide" (FS) numbers (post 1997), so other than seeing them cross-listed on CONECA or Ken Potter's website (or coppercoins.com), I guess we'll just have to wait for the 5th edition of the guide.

From what I understand there are alot of coins that have FS # and aren't listed elsewhere. James Wiles is pretty picky from what I understand (from himself and others) about what is added to the CONECA listings and they are always pretty sure of a coin before it gets listed. I hear that FS# are sometimes the other way around and might be like Breen in someways as too the fact that alot of the coins listed are now known to be not what they were thought to be. Speedy
That makes sense. Do you happen to know how people besides Fivaz and Stanton themselves find out about newer listing numbers? Or are there just a few well known people in communication with F and S that then start using the numbers?
I'm not sure about the FS#.....for such things as the CONECA listings, that is updated alot so all people need to do is check those and start useing them. Of course things like Breen numbers don't change and won't have any more added to them so really I guess the only number systems that change right now are: CONECA, FS# and VAM's, and maybe a few others that I can't think of. I do know of some guys who are in contact with the S in FS's often and they might know the answer to this question! I'll ask them if I can remember!! Speedy
