Recently My bank told me they won't accept my coins anymore, however they still order me coins. where should I go to dump my coins? I'm at a dead end at the moment. I live in the southwest Michigan area
Yeah take a bunch of rolls of pennies to walmart. They'll love you. Or alternatively look for for another bank to open an account at. Who do you bank with BTW? I have an account at Huntington and they told me starting next month they won't be taking coins anymoee.
Every bank has different procedures and they change from time to time. All you can do is find a different, conveniently located local bank.
They won't let you keep dumping coins they order for you either. Exceptions may be made for people with big accounts or they may let you for a little bit but every bank is going to stop taking them or stop ordering them when they figure out they're losing money doing it
I guess I need to modify . Make sure the credit union has a machine. Dump $6k a week, fee free. I don't order from the I order from three other banks. The credit union has no problem with me dumping my coins there. But each credit union will be different.
I have an account with Chase, my regular bank teller (an awesome guy) just left and went to Huntington
A lot have been doing away with them from accuracy issues among other things, but even if its a little off I would rather use that then deal with piles of change
Just call up all the banks and credit unions in your area until you find one with a counter. Either that or invest in an automatic counter/roller. With your volume it should be worth it.
