Thanks Guys , I'm new to the error picking thing . I found this today too, In the middle of a roll of 2007 D's it looks like someone took a dremill to it .

 

Looks like it could be a partial plating error! No one really knows why these errors are happening but they are.

 

Needs better pictures.. thats for sure.. i feel like i am going blind just looking at that

Not a Partial Plating error. When the exposed Zinc is that shiny, it was done with a tool, probably grinded with a Dremel. PMD - Post Mint Damage on that Cent
