I noticed on the PCGS price guide, they list the 1939-D reverse of 38 being worth less with full steps in ms-60 thru ms-63. ANyone know why this is?

Because the PCGS price guide is about as inaccurate as you can get.

    Opinion on Numismedia?

I get the CDN, but it does not help with the slabbed early Lincolns....66 & 67 stuff, and you have to pay to see the Numismedia charts for these grades.

    Thanks

Numismedia is OK for ballpark numbers but that's about it. CDN list to MS65 for most coins, for a few, like Morgans and Peace dollars they go to MS67, but don't think they do for Lincolns.

Personally, if I wanted values for high grade coins I'd use Heritage.

    Sorry, but; Less than what?
Less than without full steps, or the 1939 reverse, or?

PCGS is saying that a 1939 (reverse of 38) in full steps , is worth less than the same coin without full steps. But this only applies to the grades ms60 through ms63.

Just wondering if this coin in non full steps is more rare, or is it a typo,.....

    gotta be a typo.
    Makes no sense otherwise.
