NGC offers a service in which you can send the package in its entirety, and you can get it in a special mint set enclosure, as well as request for the mint packaging to be sent back.[IMG]

If you wanted them all graded though you can send it to PCGS in the government packaging and they will usually return the packaging for free. NGC has a fee to return the packaging.

It looks like it might still be available for bulk submissions but they discontinued it for normal submissions. PCGS has one for two coins that I think any submitter can request but I believe their multi holder is just for bulk submissions as well if they still do it

NGC no longer offers the multi-coin holder.

Didn't PCGS used to charge a fee for removing coins from the Mint holders?

Do you want them graded for a birth year set?

No idea if they used to at any point or not. They don't now though and haven't for at least several years.

There is a company out there that gives an over-all grade to sets. I am not sure if it only pertains to older mint sets or not. Contact these folks to see!

Depends which service but not entirely. As late as at least the end of 2013 NGC responded to a thread on their board that they were still available for some bulk submissions but had been discontinued for regular ones.

have you weighed the advantages / costs of certification vs the value of the coins once certified?
