Hey guys last week i got just 50. In coins for an little fun. I found an 1985 Washington quarter with reverse error. Wow. So i took it to 2 dealers just to make sure I saw what i thought. And 2 dealers both check it out and its what it is. But one said it s/b the other said s/s.

Uhhh.... I’m not sure if that’s even possible... them dealers don’t know what they are talking about. First off it would be considered as an over mint mark, not re punched mint mark, second, if it was an S mint mark that would have to be a proof die, and I know that can’t happen cause that looks like a business stuck coin. You can tell by the looks of the R. You should tell those guys they need to figure out what they are talking bout.

Umm.......it has a Denver mintmark (D) on the obverse, so I don't have the slightest idea what @Maes daughter (or those dealers) mean.

That I know haha. There is no such thing as B mintmark, you dont think I know this by now? If you think so you must have it out for me or something. Haha.
I was saying besides all the nonsense, there would be no S over D. It’s pointless to even say there is no B mint mark cause clearly the gal can see its a D.. if not... they shouldn’t be looking through coins imo

I am assuming you are posting about the deformed "B" in PLURIBUS. I see only what was post mint damage. Jim

Come on guys, there wasn't even a large photo of the mintmark. But they are correct if it was about the mintmark.

I agree. The B in PLURIBUS is damaged. Not all coin dealers know how to attribute Mint errors. This one is not a Mint error
    (go to another dealer)

Yes, you can click on it and it will enlarge only slightly, but the second image is overexposed and the third image is underexposed. So, how are you supposed to tell anything from them. It's all BS if you ask me, and the OP should never go back to those dealers.
