Thank you for your generosity. I would like to put my name in the hat for the ancient please. My reasoning is I am new to ancients and am working on building my collection. So far I have 2 :).

@ColonialCoin4. Hi. If the Indian head coin is the only coin you are interested in, send me your mailing information in a private message and I will send you one. I happen to have three of the same date. One for the give-away, one I am keeping and one I would be glad to give to you.

Gee LaCointessa. This is a very nice give-a-way. I wasn't going to put my hat in the contest, but you snagged me with the Ancient and the rolls. The "S" mint marks didn't hurt either. So, I guess I'll try too.

Fifty rolls of cents is a goodly amount of coins to review carefully. I still have about two boxes to go! I think I will be taking those back to the bank. But every time I sit to fill out the deposit slip I think that maybe there may be something really cool or valuable in one of them thar rolls!!! So I prefer to review them or give them to people who will review them (like you guys).

So after separating by year and mint, will you then start with the oldest years and begin examining for unusual characteristics? or start with the most recently minted coins to see which can be rolled and taken back to the bank? It is quite a process, isn't it? I found I do not enjoy the odor of US cents. Ancients don't have an odor. World coins also have an unpleasant aroma sometimes. I think that is another reason why I will probably be spending most of my coin time with ancients.

Good luck with your bank roll searching/reviewing!

These are craaazy gorgeous ancient coin specimens! My goodness! You are not fooling around! You dove right in!! Even if I included my very best ancient coin, it would be far below what you already own! You would, no doubt, be disappointed in my ancient give-away coin if you won. Your collection may be tiny but it is superb! Oh boy! I can't wait to see what you select to purchase next! (I'm glad I asked!)

    That's awesome LaCointessa!

I'm a relative newbie to CRHing, having started this Summer. After having to sell off the collection I inherited from my dad to pay my rent during a particularly lean month, I'm attempting to slowly build it back up at face value if I can, and enjoying the hunt in the process :)

The addict in me is most interested in the unsearched rolls, but the realist in me is most drawn to the 1963 dime and especially the IH cent, as those are the types of challenging-to-find coins I'm trying to replace (I've found 2 rosies, 1946 and 1962-D, and no IHs so far.)

Foreign coins are always a treat to come across, and I enjoy researching them whenever I do, but I'm not actively trying to collect them for the time being.

Good luck to everyone, and thanks for your consideration!

I would like to get in the give away. I am collecting US coins mostly cents. I am also new to CT. I am now on my 4th box of pennies to search.

The most interesting part is seeing what you have found in rolls.

I did this many years ago, and found nothing special.
