Very nice. Even if you put coins in the cardboard 2x2's and slip them into the holders, they are pretty secure.

I've looked everywhere for 2x2 s and can't find any. I don't live near any coin shops and don't like buying things online. But I have also found those 2x2s scratch my coins cause of the staples. Wish they would invent a less abrasive type of staple. Lol

I don't think I have ever scratched a coin with a staple. Easy solution, take all the staples out and let the pocket of the page hold the cardboard shut. If you get them in cardboard and move them to flips, use the cardboard for cheaper coins.

well what happened with me, I didn't have anywhere to put the coins and so I kept them all together and the staple rubbed scratches and even tore the plastic a little bit. Had to be a BU coin too. :( o well I got this nice plastic thing now so it's alllllll goood lol. I've even gone so far as to cut card board with an exacto knife and used cigarette pack plastic to keep some of my favorite coins safe lol. Cut myself in the process because I'm clumsy sometimes, especially when I have caffeine lol

I like those too. I got some from paddyman when he sent me some error coins. I'm gonna keep em in my wallet now in case I find something nice

Flat stapler or squeeze the back with pliers to flatten it from a regular one

Baseball offers good advice. After you staple the 2x2, crimp the staples with a pliers. I've been ding this for 30 years. Buy a chap pair of pliers form someplace like harbor freight and you won't have to worry about grease or anything from your tool box.
Treashunt offers excellent advice as well. A lot of soft plastics are made from PVC. The plasticizer used to make PVC soft can also react with moisture to form nasty acidic stuff that attacks coins. Your binders look like they may be PVC. I think you said you lived in the Southwest, so the low humidity will work in your favor, but you should NEVER, EVER, EVER, NEVER, use soft PVC for long term storage (probably not harder PVC either but that is a different discussion).

Cardboard 2x2's and things like SafeFlips do not contain PVC. I've seen recommendations that you should not put cardboard 2x2's in PVC Pages. I live the northeast and use cardboard 2x2s in vinyl 20 pocket pages for low value coins and have had no issues even though some some stored this way for 30+ years.

Two sided scotch tape on the three open sides.
Trim the excess with scissors after you press it closed.

If you don't have a local shop, hobby lobby stores (at least in my area) have a good selection of coin supplies.
