    Hello :)

    I have started collecting as a hobby and have come across a £2 coin with a typo.

    On searching I have found that there have been some found with

    Premember Premember the fifth of November

    but I have Remember Remember the fifth of Novembep

    Thanks in advance for any opinions

    The coin looks like it is worn. The leg of the R got worn off.

    the third side looks pretty beat up, circulated. it is going to be difficult to attribute. good luck!

    Thanks yea the condition is far from perfect it was just the typo I was enquiring about :)

    Thank you for your welcome :) ive looked under a microscope and it really is just a p I know there were some reported typos of R on remember but I can not find any on the November..

    Looks to me like some damage to the collar that was to impress that text, turning an R into a P. If it's happened on this coin, you should be able to find others that have found it as well.

    Thanks for the reply. I do not think the pic does it any good. Looking at the P it really does not look like it has been changed

    I'm not sure how you could tell that, but if that's the case then it would be a mint variety that most likely you should be able to find already documented somewhere. You need the guy that collects these to answer.
