Hello all. I thought I would start searching some half dollar rolls since I finally found a bank somewhat close that keeps a steady supply of them. I'm sure there are plenty of other posts on this subject, but as I attempt to find them, I was hoping that I could get some helpful suggestions as to what I (and others) should be looking for exactly.
I appreciate any help on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    John.

Any dates after 2002 to now were not released for circulation. They were only issued in rolls, bags, and mint sets. I also pull all S mints, since they are proof coins.

SchwaVB57--I do not know if you are really smart or I am just really dumb (rhetorical question, I am not looking for an answer). I was not aware that the mint stopped releasing half dollars for circulation. True I have not seen many in circulation but I live a sheltered life and am rather poor. I figured that is why I never saw them. You learn something everyday.

Only available from the mint, in rolls, and/or bags if memory serves.

Edited to add: also available in mint and proof sets.

    Yes, silver.
1964 and prior were 90% silver.
    1965-1969 were 40% silver.

Although they continued with the 90% in 1992-present in the Silver Proof sets, and commemoratives. (non-circulating)
    Please correct me if mistaken.

Edit: 1970D mint sets (halves) were also 40%

NIFC business strikes can be found in MWR. I got a load of 2017's a few months back. All were in beautiful condition.
Other than that if you are Hunting halves be patient. You could get several skunk boxes in a row. Look for CWR too when you get a chance. Loose teller tray halves can be lucrative too. It's all cyclical.

74 D DDO is the only error listed by the Red Book.
There is a 66 or 67 without FG initials for the designer.

Please forgive my ignorance Mr. Truble sir, but why are 1987's so significant? ...I've noticed several people save them.
