OK, here is a toned Indian in a retro ANACS holder. PCGS price guide puts it at $265. Recent ebay sales for a common AU53 are $230-$280ish

Well, thankfully a lot of people still think ALL toned gold is artificial, so they aren't interested at all. But it HARDLY ever comes up for sale, so when you see a nice one, you have to act fast, and hope one of the other toned gold collectors don't see it too.

 

Some of these older holders add quite a premium,
(= graded before present-day grade-inflation).
