Yeah, I've never peeled 'em. I have grunted and groaned over the fact that I sometimes pay more for beaned items, but I'm beginning to accept that certitude.

I will never understand it. Seems like a leading a horse to water type thing. Some people are their own worst enemies.

Personally no, but there's a few people who claim they do on several forums.

Potentially. If it is a coin they accept they will evaluate it in any straight grade.

You need to give CAC a call.

BTW, there is a thread on CU where lots of :bucktooth: idiots who hate CAC and what it stands for claim that they take the stickers off after they buy the slab.

In G-4 it's almost a thousand dollar coin, so the green bean must help the AG-3.

People sure get riled up about TPGs and CAC, baffles me every time. As a 95% online buyer I've grown to absolutely love CAC. Only once have I been baffled by a sticker and I'm probably in the wrong to be baffled. Every other coin I've owned with a sticker is PQ for the grade period. It makes buying from pictures which tell half the story way easier especially with the mid to high MS coins I target normally that have huge price jumps.

That's only part of what I love about CAC. The other part is the absolutely amazing service they provide when submitting. I sent in 5 of my coins and not only was the turnaround insanely fast, the price incredibly reasonable, but I even got feedback as to why two of my coins didn't sticker. What a great service for a learning collector.

    lol just ridiculous.

I like the little guy that comes out playing a band or parachuting to declare the certification is real!!

Gotcha, but even at full retail, aka PCGS Price Guide, the G04 is $695 tops...and a fair dealer sell price would be 500-650. Anyone who pays $923 for a G04 got taken.
    Best to all.

And of course, as has been mentioned a dozen times here on CT, CAC was founded by none other than John Albanese...co founder of PCGS, hence, they will only accept NGC and PCGS graded coins for consideration (and a fee) to the Numismatic Ivy League Club.
I was just curious as to the lowest grade that they would consider for beaning, that's the reason for exhuming this old thread.

And was a part of NGC and what's your point? Collectors don't get charged for what doesn't sticker.

    Any obviously

I think it's very safe to say that there's just a tad more to it than Mr. Albanese's past associations...

I don't know what any of this has to do with anything I posted.

The same "grade" or the same coin? I'm sure you're aware that coins, even within the same assigned grade, can vary greatly and is why grades are not always an apples to apples comparison.

Nothing, just info about the guidelines that CAC uses.
