I was coin roll hunting when I came across a coin that had the normal Lincoln memorial on the back but the front was smooth to the touch the is a lip on it and a few details can be made out I believe this is from warn down dies but I'm not sure can you tell me if it's real and it's value I made sure to weigh it and it weighs the exact same as a normal penny so I believe it's real but you guys are the experts.

Do you know how much it would be worth if real

According to 2018 U.S. Coin Digest, a uniface error is worth $15 and up.

My guess would be probably not, but I'm no expert on errors. I just happened to be reviewing a copy of the new Coin Digest, and it was open to the chapter on mint errors.

Alright well I'm gonna bring it to a coin expert to see his opinion on it but thanks for the help

Actually, it's worth what someone will pay for it.

Struck through a capped die. In the case of the OP coin through a very late stage capped die.
