Have not received coin yet. Based on the photo and the trueview, the coin does not have any of the telltale signs of AT, but perhaps I will change my opinion when I see it in hand.

Wonder what caused the obverse scrapes? Such a nice original and I'd say UNC.

 

Hard to say it's pmd though.....shame I like the coin. Picked up an 1830 yesterday myself. That was a really nice find an R-4

 

Is this what you call wood grain toning? And is that green stuff the dreaded copper disease?

 

Yes that is a woodie toned coin, in properly mixed alloys. The green yes is ,and can be removed easy,and the this point to prevent further damage.

 

Here's another tarnished coin, kind of a beauty I must admit. I been doing a lot of work taking pix of my way too big stash of coins, have weeks to go. So, someone please direct me toward a remedy to fix the green copper disease.

Just a common proof Franklin. I don't come across many that are toned.
