I am really tired tonight , my back hurts, and my feet are swollen, or I am just feeling lazy. Any way I'll finish these later. The newest arrivals from Korea.

Hey Buzzard, I also purchased 10 but, I had to return 8 of them because of scratches, dings and dark spots on them. I was really surprised because it's a beautiful coin but, it looked like many of them had 'bag marks'. I was told by APMEX that they had so many returns that they returned their entire inventory of them. You would think that the Pobjoy Mint would recognize the poor quality product that they were shipping and make some corrections to their handling of the coins (since much of the damage seemed to be post-strike mishandling) and restrike replacements. However, it looks like those of us that have them are going to have a very low mintage piece. I wished I'd known, a couple of coins I returned had minor scuffing in the matte field above '1 Crown' on the reverse.

Artex, the Hungarian Export Company, produced special proof sets in conjunction with the Hungarian Mint in 1966 and 1967. About 5,000 proof sets were issued during each of those two years. These were Hungary's first proof sets issued for the collector market.

I've been waiting for the right example to pick up for myself for some time. This one still has the original cardboard sleeve and packaging inside the case to hold the coins in place, and condition-wise it looks like it hasn't been touched since it was issued.

These sets are especially beautiful, with proof examples of the normal aluminum business strikes struck instead in copper-nickel (for the fillérs) and in silver (for the forints), along with a special 5 forint commemorative type that is unique to these sets.

Hungary 1967 Special Issue Proof Set (1966-1967):
    2 Fillér KM-546a Copper-Nickel 2.05g 18mm
    5 Fillér KM-549a Copper-Nickel 1.9g 17mm
    10 Fillér KM-547a Copper-Nickel 2.7g 19mm
    20 Fillér KM-550a Copper-Nickel 3.95g 21mm
    50 Fillér KM-551a Copper-Nickel 4.2g 22mm
    1 Forint KM-555a 0.835 Silver 5.85g 22.8mm
    2 Forint KM-556b 0.835 Silver 6.12g 25mm
    5 Forint KM-534b 0.835 Silver 13g 27.5mm (Kossuth Lajos Commemorative)

Here is the outer case, with the post-1956 revolution Hungarian emblem.

Some new arrivals tonight. Only need 2 more coins to complete my type set and they seem to be elusive despite millions issued. 2 of these are duplicates, but had to buy the lot to get the 2 I needed. For some reason I am finding it difficult to properly image the BU Copper-Nickel coins from South Korea. They always look like the examples below. I'll figure it out, just a matter of lighting, angle, and camera settings.

Latest world coin is a Mexico Zacatecas 1821 RG. Bought at the Stacks-Bowers Denver Auction Sessions. Interesting coin, marked "Tooled" by PCGS, but I can't determine where the marks have been added. This is my first coined so marked, but I'm very happy with it, and consider it a bargain. I've always liked the 8 Real Mexico silver, and have had a variety of them, sold long ago, when I disposed of much of my foreign coins.

Got this from my son today when we went for a visit. It is my 1st Panama Balboa and it fits right in with my new project.

Looks harshly cleaned, but hey it was a gift and I love free silver. 1931Panama.jpg
