Utah Arches doubling, What kind if any?

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by William Reavely, Sep 2, 2017.

  1. Hi Coin Talk peeps. I have been reading a lot about doubling but since I'm new I must not be grasping it well yet. It seems to me that there are numerous types of doubling and I am trying to build a library of types and examples of my own to use as reference along with all the other information available on the net and this site.

I'm guessing that the pictures are showing a deteriorated die strike???

Please let me know your thoughts on this one.

Again, thank you all in advance for your advice and knowledge.

    It is very Much appreciated!

That's machine doubling. But something I would be looking for is a major die chip/die break in the area that my aarow points at. Someone from here in cointalk discovered that IMG_2576.JPG
