I'm sure no one's noticed, but due to life stuff (mostly classes and actually starting to work in my field of study) I haven't been really active on here lately. But here's a coin I purchased way back in January. For those that are attempting to make the connection, no it isn't a coin from FUN (although I still have a couple of coins I got there I've yet to share), but in a way it sort of is. While there I saw a worn Alexander III posthumous drachm (for those unaware these are around the size of your typical denarius, maybe a bit heavier?) with a small dig on the reverse being offered for like $80-90. It piqued my interest but wasn't to crazy about the price, so after the show I attempted to find one on the internet at around the same or similar price. Ended up discovering this nice little fellow for a little more than the one at the show. Its far from being perfect but I certainly still like it and I hope some of you here do as well. There was a small mishap when USPS delivered it to the wrong residence but they went back, retrieved the package, and redelivered it to my mailbox (unfortunately I would not have such good luck with my Neapolis silver coin around a week later). I won't go into the history in-depth (its been a long day for me and most of you I'm sure are aware of it to at least some extent) but basically Alexander the Great became king of Macedon, ran around with his army and conquered more stuff than anyone before him, married Rosario Dawson a Bactrian princess named Roxana, made many attractive and cool coins, partied, then died young. The guy didn't stop doing stuff after he died either, making many more coins and earning more cool points from people for many centuries after his death. That movie had so much potential, but it wasn't done right. At least the scenery, costumes, and depictions of hoplites was extremely well done, so it wasn't a total loss.
It's been a long time since I saw it, but what I recall is the absolutely great cinematography, as you say, unfortunately coupled with extremely stiff writing and rotten-tomato-worthy acting.

There was a movie about Alexander that was made in the 1950s and starts Richard Burton as our dear Alex. Its supposed to be awful.
Thanks for the comments and the great coins all! As mentioned time and again on here the camaraderie here is really good and positive (no one I know in real life shares my passion for collecting) so I hope to still maintain a presence on the forum as my life gets even busier.
